Present: Artworks
Images, artefacts and a video were made during the Present research project. Memory Box was a prototype for a time capsule Treasure Box created to link the location, archival photographs of the Canoe Pool and the research project. This was buried on the beach in the exact position of Newcastle on the original map of Australia in the Canoe Pool.
Several small floating artefacts were created using found materials stitched onto balsa wood. These referenced the boats in the original photographs and linked the present shoreline location with images from the past.
